Yesterday we went to Pierre to pick up our chickens. We bought 30 hens and 3 roosters taking us to a grand total of 33 chickens! Today I woke up before everyone else to find one of the chickens dead
So sad! We bought about 8 chickens last year . . . 3 died before they got very old, and the dog got two more, plus our old hen. This year we have a different dog and we're getting lots more chicks, but we haven't gotten them yet--you guys are really on top of things! Good luck with them!

ReplyDeleteWe have lots of chicks for sure. Sophia killed 2 so I went out and bought 6 more. It's a bit crazy. I think I had a moment of temporary insanity.
